Yesterday afternoon and evening I spent quite a bit of time roaming the fairgrounds of the Nooks to Brains Cyber Convention 2016. this little, or maybe it’s really a big event was started last year by author Angela Chrysler. It was such a success last year that it’s become an annual event. Ani Manjinkian, the author Spirit of the Lone Horse, had invited me and I’d promised to visit her booth.
The weekend event that goes through today is a Goodreads group, so I had to join the group to attend. Once I joined and arrived at the entrance. The first thing that happened was getting lost near the wooden signposts. Then I got lost in the fairgrounds. Eventually I did find my way to Ani’s booth and stopped in to say hello. I viewed a panel discussion that she participated in on YouTube. We chatted a bit then I went wandering around the fairgrounds to see if there were other authors I’m familiar with who had booths. Sure enough I found Les Lynam, the author of the Time Will Tell series. Jenny Burke the author of “The Dragon Dreamer” had a booth and I stopped in to see her. Then I found Markie Madden’s Metamorph Publishing. I let her know that her “Souls of the Reaper” from her Undead Unit series is next on my TBR list. Looking around a nearby booth touting Vikings caught my attention and I stepped over there to see what was going on. There I managed to get connected to another author and bookblogger that I hadn’t met before. Now I’m following her blog on WordPress, Peachy Keen Book Reviews. She had a booth too so I visited her booth. I saw a few other authors that are members of the Facebook APC group while I wandered around.
All in all I had a marvelous time. I’m going back later today. It’s the last day of the convention and I’d like to see what else I can find. I did vote in round #4 of the Cover Wars this morning and would like to participate in the final round as well.
So, go check out the Books to Brains CyberCon today before it closes. You won’t be disappointed and you may just find a new author in a genre you love!
Enjoy!

Thanks for the mention Lavern! The convention seems much bigger this year than last. Sometimes I find myself getting lost, too!

It’s easy to get lost until you figure out the set up then you can browse around in the areas of most interest to you. It’s a great event!
