My Book Review:

What a great selection of eleven eerie, scary, tales reminiscent of something you might hear around a campfire on a full moon night. I’m not usually a fan of horror but I have been known to enjoy a few of those campfire ghost stories. This anthology has vampires, demons, ghosts, a necromancer and others with haunted houses, revenge and magic. I have to admit that I did read this during the day instead of at night. Still, the stories were all quite well done.  It is hard to determine which ones are the best, but, my favorite was The House on Juniper Lane by Jaidis Shaw. I suppose the main reason is an ending that was totally unexpected with no hint I found which would have warned me.  Too Young to Kill by Lily Luchesi is one of the more disturbing haunted house tales.  The last story, Lizzie by Tania Hagan is the only ‘happily ever after’ story in the book, but, the road to getting there is both tragic and marvelously eerie. For all the horror fans out there this is a great book to have with you for those times you’re waiting and want to read a short story to pass the wait time.

Enjoy!

Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.
