As in the Days of Noah

Today’s post is going to be a long one. Bear with me dear readers and followers. I do have a point I want to make.

my-best-hat2Over the past year or so I’ve watched many videos by end times prophesy watchers around the world. I’ve read several articles and books on the topic. A number of them treat the UFO and alien phenomenon differently than what is generally thought out in the world at large. The secular version is that aliens from another planet, galaxy or whatnot are watching us and have been visiting the earth from antiquity and that the UFO and alien abduction phenomena are real. I agree that these phenomena are real but like the prophesy watchers I do not think they are aliens from another world.  They are, in my opinion, demonic in nature, inter-dimensional beings, most likely fallen angels.  Jesus told his disciples what to expect before his return at the end times. He said it would be like it was in the days of Noah. To understand what he was talking about we have to read the Genesis account of Noah and the flood.

Genesis 6:1-4 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Sons of God and Daughters of Men

When mankind began to multiply on the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of mankind were beautiful, and they took any they chose as wives[a] for themselves. And the Lord said, “My Spirit will not remain[b] with[c] mankind forever, because they are corrupt.[d] Their days will be 120 years.” The Nephilim[e] were on the earth both in those days and afterward, when the sons of God came to the daughters of mankind, who bore children to them. They were the powerful men of old, the famous men.

This passage comes just before the narrative of Noah and the instruction that God gave him to prepare for the great deluge that God was going to send to destroy the world. I do believe what the Bible says and the Nephilim are a part of what Jesus was talking about when he said “in the days of Noah.” Some of the prophesy watchers are looking for the advent of a new breeding program for Nephilim in the modern age as the fulfillment of the phrase “as it was in the days of Noah.”  But I don’t believe that is the most important aspect of what He was telling his disciples would be the signs before his return. Another passage immediately following is more relevant, in my opinion and becoming more evident today. That is the level of wickedness in the world.

Genesis 6:5-8 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Judgment Decreed

When the Lord saw that man’s wickedness was widespread on the earth and that every scheme his mind thought of was nothing but evil all the time, the Lord regretted that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. Then the Lord said, “I will wipe off from the face of the earth mankind, whom I created, together with the animals, creatures that crawl, and birds of the sky—for I regret that I made them.” Noah, however, found favor in the sight of the Lord.

Some say that Noah and his family were the only ones whose genetics had not been tampered with by the fallen angels. I don’t happen to agree with that interpretation of scripture. I believe that the corruption was not of the genetics as much as it was of the spirit, , although there were beings whose genetics were hybrid as well.

Genesis 6:9-13 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

God Warns Noah

These are the family records of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among his contemporaries; Noah walked with God. 10 And Noah fathered three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with wickedness.[a] 12 God saw how corrupt the earth was, for every creature had corrupted its way on the earth. 13 Then God said to Noah, “I have decided to put an end to every creature, for the earth is filled with wickedness[b] because of them; therefore I am going to destroy them along with the earth.

Proponents of the idea that only Noah was genetically pure often are taking the phrase from the King James version:

Genesis 6:9 King James Version (KJV)

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Their interpretation of “perfect in his generations” is that his genetics, his DNA, had not been tampered with. Going to my Strong’s Concordance the word used has a number of related meanings derived from a root that means integrity or truth. The word has connotations including: without blemish, complete, full, sound, without spot, undefiled, upright(-ly), whole. The word used is the same one used to describe unblemished animals used later in sacrifices. It is also the same word used in Deuteronomy when God was giving the Israelites instructions before going into the land he promised them and told the they must be ‘perfect with’ or ‘blameless before’ the Lord (Deut. 18:13).  In context God was talking about the things the inhabitants of the land were doing that are abhorrent to God, an abomination in the King James version, detestable in the Holman version I use. The people that inhabited the land were heavily into occult practices. For this reason God was going to drive them out of the land and give the land to His people, the Israelites.

Deuteronomy 18:9-14 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Occult Practices versus Prophetic Revelation

“When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not imitate the detestable customs of those nations. 10 No one among you is to make his son or daughter pass through the fire,[a] practice divination, tell fortunes, interpret omens, practice sorcery, 11 cast spells, consult a medium or a familiar spirit, or inquire of the dead. 12 Everyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and the Lord your God is driving out the nations before you because of these detestable things. 13 You must be blameless before the Lord your God. 14 Though these nations you are about to drive out listen to fortune-tellers and diviners, the Lord your God has not permitted you to do this.

I believe that the level of wickedness that was occurring during the days of Noah before the flood is the primary reason that God chose to destroy all flesh from the earth saving only Noah and his family along with a sampling of all the animals to repopulate the earth. I think that God saved Noah’s family only because of Noah’s righteousness not simply because none of them had altered genetics. I don’t think that his sons and their wives or even his own wife were particularly as blameless as Noah was, their unrighteousness was covered by Noah’s righteousness and God saved them only because of His relationship with Noah.

Now on to my take of the modern era and end times. The time is approaching when the wickedness of mankind will again be like it was in the days of Noah. There is so much to take in and beware of in the current age. We’ve been told by Jesus, “do not be deceived.” In this day and age we are bombarded with an abundance of knowledge, all at our fingertips with the ability to search the internet even on our smart phones. The problem for most people is discerning truth from fiction. The current generation of people are become so absorbed into their electronic devices that they are not paying attention to what is really going on which can easily lead to being deceived. I am concerned for my grandchildren because of the self absorbed culture of the information age in which they are growing up.

Recently there have been a number of  apparent scandals reported on alternative media regarding high level officials and occult practices and criminal activities that they participate in. Now, honestly I cannot know the truth personally since I am not privy to the inner circles of these people, nor would I want to be. But, with the persecution and prosecution of people who should be considered whistle-blowers I tend to think the corruption is more widespread than we ever imagined. The issue for these would be whistle-blowers is that their concerns were not addressed through normal channels. In order to bring information to light these people have taken it to the public media outlets. Because they were ignored through the legal channels, a clear indication of a cover-up, they are then persecuted and prosecuted under an old espionage act.  This is not right. But, I believe that our government has been infiltrated by wickedness at all levels. When the wickedness is in danger of being exposed people are persecuted, prosecuted, and some die an untimely death.

Most recently there is the exposure of the current pedophilia ring that is apparently quite extensive within the political realm and among elites. What I’ve been reading has an affect upon me that is almost impossible to put into words. The depth of corruption and wickedness is an abomination that I know goes up to the Lord as a stench so awful that I believe God is again sorry that he created mankind and would destroy all flesh again were it not for His everlasting covenant with Noah to never again destroy all flesh by flood. But, God is really slow to anger and he has unimaginable patience. I know that as of now the fullness of the wickedness of mankind has not been achieved. There are still a lot of people who have not been deceived and do love the Lord. Even though we are born with a sinful nature, there are still a lot of good people left.

Now, as I understand what I read in scripture, there will be a time that God’s people will be persecuted and put to death before Jesus returns.

Matthew 24:9-14 Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Persecutions Predicted

“Then they will hand you over for persecution,[a] and they will kill you. You will be hated by all nations because of My name. 10 Then many will take offense, betray one another and hate one another. 11 Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. 12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be delivered.[b] 14 This good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world[c] as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.

We are seeing the persecution of God’s people now. In some places around the globe they are being killed (1). In the US, religious freedoms of Christians have been eroded away over the years. We cannot talk of our faith in the workplace or schools. Christians are labeled as ‘bigots, racists, and haters’ because of their belief in pro-life or their stand on marriage among other things. I do understand how some Christians leave a bad impression on non-believers. Some leave a bad impression on me and I am a follower of Christ. Still, the world does not distinguish those who truly love as God commanded from those who are legalistic in their faith. How can they? The world doesn’t know Christ and cannot know the difference with out the leading of the Holy Spirit. Because so many in the world are deceived wickedness increases on the planet. Eventually all that is prophesied in scripture will come to pass, but, it is not yet time.

My heart aches for the world, for those who are deceived, for the children who are suffering, for the ordinary people who do not have a personal relationship with Jesus who is the epitome of God’s love for us. For all those who only see God as vindictive, not as the one who loves them so much that he send his only begotten son to be the sacrifice for the sins of the world, the God whose heart is broken because his children that he created do not love him. I want what God wants, and that is that none should perish, rather that all would know God and accept His free gift of eternal life through His only begotten Son, Jesus, the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of all mankind from the wages of sin that is death. But the world does not see this and refuses to believe. Their unbelief is heartbreaking and the result is a wickedness most foul which is also heartbreaking.

Lord I pray for the people of this world that they would see you for the merciful and loving God that you are, who is slow to anger and quick to forgive. Use me to show the world your love. I ask this in the name of your precious Son, our Lord and Savior, Jesus, Yeshua. Amen

Blessings with Love!

About grandmapeachy

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.
