The Day After

My best hatPost election commentary on social media is so funny. People tend to over react when things don’t go their way, or at least the way they thought it should and would. Anyone who has been following my posts will know where I stood in the presidential election this year.  Now I’ll have one final go at the political commentary and next week I’ll be back to other more ordinary things in life.

I love my liberal friends, I don’t agree with them, I don’t think things will be as bad as they predict and I don’t think that things would be as good as they think had the election gone the other way. I think liberals are deceived with the blinders of media bias, societal lies, and historical amnesia. The people who think the market reaction to the election is how it’s going to be from here on out are over reacting. The market did not expect the outcome and lost it’s equilibrium for a moment. I predict that it will readjust and, like what happened with Brexit, the market will bounce back. I don’t think that just because a president has made remarks that we find offensive our nation will follow suit. It is the role of parents to train their children to be polite, respectful and law abiding. If what a man you don’t like, or even hate, (we taught our kids that hate is an awfully strong word, hate leads to murder) will automatically have the men and boys of our nation raping women and girls then you as parents are not doing your job and you have no faith in the moral restraint of the majority of everyday people. The people who engage in this behavior will not change because someone else is president, the people who do not engage in this behavior will not change because of who the president is. If the actions of the president had that much impact on society as a whole then when Bill Clinton was the president there would have been a dramatic increase in adultery and men having sex with the secretary or what ever young woman was ripe for being prey. Do people really think that one person has that much power and influence? What was said during the campaign was hype to stir up the people. I listened to people who talked about work g for and with both candidates and the comments about Trump were overwhelmingly positive where those around Clinton were overwhelmingly negative. But liberals only believe the negative they hear about he opposing candidate and seem to ignore the negative reports about their own. At least the Clinton supporters. Personally I think what was done to Nernie Sanders was a crime. He would have fared better than Clinton against Trump and might even have won. Many Bernie supporters would  not  back Clinton, but I suspect most Clinton supporters would have backed Sanders.  Had the DNC played fair with Sanders the outcome of this election might have been different.

The thing that I really do not understand though is why the socialist lie is still believed. Socialism does not work to the betterment of society. Government control of our lives is not to our benefit, reliance upon the government to provide for our needs is expensive and creates a lazy society as a whole. You say, “but what about those who can’t afford the things that the  government supplies?” Well, I say, where are the charities that take care of our poor, homeless, and sick?  I’ve been poor, actually most of my life has been poor by American standards. There have been times I couldn’t afford the medical care needed, the food needed, and I have in fact been homeless had it not been for family taking me and my family in we would have been living out of a car.  Had it not been for a church paying the hospital bill I would not have been able to pay the medical bill for the birth of one of my children. Had it not been for the charity of our local community there would have been a year that my children did not have warm winter coats and our Thanksgiving would have been lean. None of those times did I depend upon the government to supply my needs. The charitable deeds of others provided those things.

I would much rather the nation promote free enterprise and entrepreneurial endeavors that allow people to support themselves than rely on the government to make sure everyone has the basic necessities and a few things that are not.  I’d rather see us flourish as a nation on the ingenuity of our citizens. I think given the opportunity and the right environment we can accomplish great things as a people.

One of the problems today is that the people of this nation have drifted away from faith in God. I’m talking the Christian God, the God of Creation, Yahweh, Yehovah, Jehovah, with Jesus, Yeshua, however one wants to refer to the One God of creation. All the false religions that plant false doctrines into the hearts and minds of people is the downfall of a people. Make no mistake, there will be a judgement day and the truth will be known and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that YHWH is the God of creation. No matter what one. elieves here the truth does not change. My heart aches for the decieved because the do not know the truth and do not understand that the truth will set you free,  free of the burden of sin, which is great. So great that the God of all creation had a plan to set us captive to sin free. He sent His only begotten (born as we are of a woman) Son to lay the price. Jesus was the blood sacrifice for our sins, the sins of the entire world, only He was able to do that because only He was without sin. The only way to enjoy that freedom from sin is to believe and accept for yourself Jesus as the sacrifice for your sin. What is sin? Anything that separates you from your Creator. Disobedience to the laws He has written on the hearts of mankind, 1) Love the Lird your Hod with all your heart, soul & mind 2) Love your neighbor as yourself. These two laws sum up every other law.

I do love my liberal friends, I love my conservative friends, my atheist friends, Muslem friends, Buddhist friends, Hindi friends, LGBT friends, Jewish friends and any other group that I may not have listed.  Years ago when I asked what I could do to serve God. egged,  God spoke to me and said, “Love my people.” I understood that to mean all people of His creation. That is you, all of you, everywhere, regardless of your beliefs, lifestyle, or whatever divides humanity. My heart aches for the lost souls of the world especially those who adamantly refuse to believe the truth. God loves them all and like any father He is sorely grieved by the loss of His children. Also like any father He will administer discipline to those who disobey (translate fail to love). His punishment will be just and harsh. Hear the truth and believe, let God set you free.

Well that turned into a pulpit sermonette. I am not afraid of the gospel.

Blessings to all,

About grandmapeachy

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.
