Taking a Sabbatical

My best hatI did not finish a book to review for today. I have a long list of books in my TBR list, but this week I’m taking a sabbatical from reading. We had company for the July 4th weekend and, though I really enjoyed them and fixing meals for the whole crew it takes me a few days to recuperate. My mind has not been into reading. Instead I’m watching videos and listening to things that interest me.

I’ve also begun focusing my Bible reading on the Old Testament prophets. So I am reading, just not the things I usually read.    This is a time of spiritual renewal for me. Resting in the Lord and learning more from His word.

I’ll try to have something next week. I still have to determine which book(s) I’ll read for next week but not before this week is over. I’ve also got an editing project that I’ll need to start after my self imposed sabbatical.

Patience my dear followers, I will be back to a regularly scheduled book review soon.

About grandmapeachy

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.
