Adoption Day

Grandma Peachy profile 1I’m in New Mexico with my oldest daughter and her family. Today is the day they go to court to finalize the adoption of two little boys they’ve been fostering for a year and a half. There is still one little kink that may delay the adoption. But, prayerfully the proceeding will go forward as planned and by the end of the day these precious little boys will be legally my grandsons.  Am I being selfish to say that instead of “being my daughters sons?” It’s a grandma thing and I am a chronic grandma.

I’ve prayed for this for many years. With today being one of those days that only happens once every four years I consider it a special day and have high hopes that it will be doubly special for my family. Everyone in the family who is in town will be at the court today. Certainly the judge will see the kind of loving family support these boys will have.

I am excited about this special day!

Blessings,

Grandma Peachy

About grandmapeachy

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.
