Book Reviews: Death Most Wicked and Scorn Kills by Suzi Albracht

Review of Death Most Wicked by Suzi Albracht

Death Most Wicked is a crime drama with a gruesome and eerie twist. Death Most Wicked by Suzi Albracht coverTwo cases are investigated, the first is child abductions, the other is a series of murders with unexplainable decomposition of the victims. The mystery of the plot is very well developed. Not your everyday murder mystery. Most of the characters are well developed though I could not relate to the author and his wife as well as I did detective and his wife. The author character just didn’t strike me as real and his wife was not what I would expect coming from a rich family. Still it was a good read and I look forward to more from Suzi Albracht. I give this one a four out of five stars.

Review of Scorn Kills by Suzi Albracht

I read Scorn Kills after reading Death Most Wicked. Scorn Kills by Suzi Albracht coverI was pleased to read this tale from the point of view of the author, a character from the first book that I was unable to relate to in the first book. It covers the same time frame and gives so much more background that had seemed to be missing in Death Most Wicked. The macabre aspect of Scorn Kills explained so much that I felt was missing from Death Most Wicked. It is well written and characters pretty well developed. If you like really scary and macabre endings then you’ll like this one. I give this a four out of five just because of the way it made me feel at the end.

Enjoy!

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.

I haven’t read Death Most Wicked, but I still remember Scorn Kills. It’s funny how our opinions are so similar. Now I know I want to read the first.
