Nephilim and Ancient Aliens

The other day I discovered on YouTube several videos by Bible scholar, teacher and speaker Chuck Missler. Years ago we purchased several of his informative teachings on tape.  Yes, that was way back before CDs were popular.  I truly enjoyed the intellectual discussions on current day events as seen from a Biblical perspective. I was excited to see that he was still teaching and had expanded into YouTube.

Friday evening I watched the first half of one of his topics. Saturday I watched the second half of that teaching and continued to watch others. Almost all day was spent watching his videos.

The one that captured my imagination more than any other was “The Return of the Nephilim.”Return of the Nephilim  It sounds like an episode of History Channel’s “Ancient Aliens” without the pictures, and from a Biblical perspective. I had no idea that Chuck Missler would ever tackle the subject of UFOs, alien abductions and crop circles. My thoughts on the subject have gone the gamut, but I’ve always thought that there is something to it that I could not fully understand. Even weeding out all of the hoaxes, there were too many indications of reports of unexplainable phenomena that were authentic.

The scriptural texts that Missler highlighted and analyzed from the original Hebrew or Greek words used gave me a better understanding of what I’ve thought for years. I never considered the phenomena to be intergalactic travellers. It seemed to me that a society advanced enough to travel across the universe to our galaxy and our planet, hidden in a cosmic dust cloud, would consider us too primitive and war-like to want to have anything to do with us. We are a dangerous species. I’ve thought that there has to be something spiritual to the events that occur. I just wasn’t sure what it was. Still not totally sure, but, Missler’s discussion on the topic has gotten me to wrap my brain around a concept that I hadn’t considered.

His contention is that all these UFOs are transdimensional beings used by Satan to deceive humanity, ‘even the elect if possible.’ I’ve heard of scientific theories that propose there are at least ten dimensions. Missler points out scriptural references that he interprets as inference of the spiritual warfare from other dimensions. He also talks about others who have searched scripture through out history and came to the same conclusions without benefit of current day scientific advances.  I don’t understand all of it and probably never will. I’ll listen to his video again, but I’m sure that I  still won’t understand it all.

Missler does not ask his viewers to take his word for it, he challenges the audience to do their own research. The immense amount of information available on the internet leaves no excuse for not doing your own homework. Over time I believe I will take up that challenge. It never occurred to me before that I could do my own research. I live with a Bible scholar who has an understanding of both Hebrew and Greek, albeit, she’s a bit rusty, but there are textbooks in my own home for both of these languages. However, I’ve never really taken advantage of that resource because, well, it would be excessively time consuming. Whereas, seeking the same information on the internet would be much easier and faster. I guess I have my work cut out for me if I am to accept the challenge.

Here’s to hoping this will encourage others to consider the Biblical view of UFOs and all the other weird things that occur in this world.

Blessings to all,

Grandma Peachy

About grandmapeachy

I am a retired grandmother and amateur quilter. Generally I do not discuss religion and politics with people other than my family and even then I do more listening than talking. Because I dislike confrontation this blog is a way for me to express opinions that I hold on these and other issues without having to delve into controversial discussions with others who may not agree with me. I am also an avid supporter of indie authors. There are a lot of great books that are not available through traditional publishing and I believe that these stories need to be brought to the attention of the reading public.

    • I may share more on this or related topics occasionally. We’ll see where my mind wanders. There is a vast world of speculation and I’m a very curious person. My opinions may not align with the majority on many topics. When I find something that expresses what I’ve thought all along and does it better than I ever could then I’m sure to bring it up in some musing of mine.

Yup, Randy and I devoured 40, 50 Missler tapes from Firefighters for Christ. Introduced to the concept couple decades ago…got some more interesting reading for you if you’re into studying further. ..
